Book Club: The Yellow World – Review, Thoughts & Reflections + Live Book Club Chat!

Hi everyone! How are you?

I hope you had a lovely February, and that you’ve all had the chance to finish The Yellow World by now. I just finished reading it yesterday night, and I was really thrilled by the twist it took in the last few chapters. If you were thinking to drop it half way through, please don’t! It is really worth the read. I finally discovered who the yellows are, and it was the most exciting part of the read.

I won’t be discussing my thoughts on the book in detail now, as I am going to be saving that for our Instagram Live Book Club Chat on the 4th of March at 6 pm (GMT+1). If you want to join, all you have to do is follow me on Instagram. And if you want to receive a little reminder that I’ll be going live, just follow me on Twitter too!

The Yellow World is a lively and colourful self-help book, which I believe will greatly appeal to a Young Adult audience. Espinosa’s tone is evocative, detailed, joyous and animated, and his love for life pours out of each single one of his pages. Having read a few negative reviews on the book, I can understand that the radiant youthful energy of the author’s writing could put some of the readers off when dealing with topics such as cancer. However, we mustn’t forget that the discoveries he shares with us were mostly made in his teenage years.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that this book is definitely worth a read. You should give it a shot and not give up on it until you get to the very end. The Yellow World is a eulogy to life, love, senses, intelligence and emotions. It is a yummy glass of fresh orange juice on a hot summer’s day. It will put a smile on your face and make you feel energised and motivated to go conquer your own Yellow World.

What are your thoughts on the book? Did you guys enjoy it? Let me know in the comments below! I look forwards to hear from you!

Bye for now!

Love,

Elly, XO
